Bulldogs Dominate Oliver Ames: Oct. 16
On Friday October 16, the Canton High School dominated Oliver Ames High School. Throughout the game the bulldogs fought hard and played tremendously well. Canton won with a score of 40-14. Jack Cudmore, a senior on the Bulldogs said “ we have improved a lot over the season.Everyone has been working really hard in practice and I think our records reflect that. In addition everyone did their job in shutting down OA offensively. Our offense obviously helps us out a lot putting up a total of 40+ points. As of right now we are in a good spot mentally .” Our Bulldogs knew that the game was going to be a good one. The Bulldogs had
a record of 4-1 prior to the game with OA which had a record of 0-3. Right as the game started the boys had their game faces on it was seen in their performance. Defensmen, senior captain Mike McMahon gave imput on the game and said “We worked hard all week in practice, it is always good to play well. It was a great team win”.Indeed it was. Our defense was on point as well as our offense. Former Hockomock player of the week, senior captain Jake Ragusa said “I think the game went well, thanks to my linemen who have led the way for me, there’s no superstar on this , it’s a team effort every
week, we work hard and do what we got to do.” In addition, senior captain Woanyen Mahn believes that “Everyone played to the best of their abilities and that is what lead us to victory.” After the third, the boys were pumped and knew that they had it in the bag. Senior captain Mac Brown agreed with Mahn and was quite satisfied with the result of how the game turned out. He said, “It was another game where we dominated a team in trenches and our skill players were too much for them to handle. We’re all looking towards Sharon with the Hock Championship on the line.” The Bulldogs have high hopes to beat Sharon next week and become Hockomock Champions.
